Zumbro Ridge Estates

A resident-owned community

Welcome Home!

Zumbro Ridge Estates is a resident-owned manufactured home community in Rochester, Minn. Zumbro Ridge Estates is conveniently located just five miles from downtown Rochester, and four miles from Silver Lake Park. Our ideal setting allows for easy access to Interstates 90 and 35 and we are close to city amenities, outdoor activities and The Mayo Clinic. We are a friendly neighborhood for people who love outdoor activities and living in a big city with a small town feel.

Quarry Hill Nature Center is a short 10-minute drive, where we enjoy hiking and afternoon picnics. Rochester is beautiful, tranquil and full of charm. We are centrally located with easy access to stores, trails, ponds and lakes, and neighboring cities of Minneapolis and Milwaukee. We enjoy all Rochester has to offer.

Zumbro Ridge Estates is owned by the Community Members who live here – we are a resident-owned community (ROC).

We own it

The Member homeowners of Zumbro Ridge Estates control the rent and make the rules. In October 2017, the ROC purchased the land and infrastructure, such as the roads and water lines. Now, a democratically elected Board of Directors manages the business of running Zumbro Ridge Estates. Every Member household in the community has a say in who sits on the Board, how we spend our money, the annual budget, and whether we make changes to the rent.

We’re also part of a national network of more than 300 ROCs just like us. That membership provides us with access to expert coaching on how to run our ROC, leadership development and training, communication with dozens of community leaders who face many of the same issues we do, and more. Life in Zumbro Ridge Estates is truly different than in a commercially owned community – we invite you to find out firsthand how that difference makes living here so much better.
